What are your opinions about using a used breast pump?

I would like to buy a Medela pump in style breast pump. They are pretty expensive and i have found a few used ones. If I replaced the tubes and a few of the other parts what do you think?

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and want to breast feed my baby when he is born. I will be returning to work and want to know what is the best breast pump I can buy. I need one that is affordable, convient, and works well. Any suggestions.

I am still breastfeeding and not supplementing. My baby is 8 months old. Would it be normal to start again and dose it depend on how much he is eating when I get it back?
